Being told your child needs surgery can be stressful for both you and your child. At the Center for Facial, Oral & Implant Surgery we work with you and your child to remove the mystery out of surgery and put you both at ease.
The process starts with a consultation in our comfortable consultation room, away from the surgical setting. Preparation is an important aspect prior to any procedure. We will prepare you and your child for what to expect, to help alleviate fear. We encourage you and your child to ask as many questions as you like. Our staff is well trained in working with children and will be available to assist in providing the best care possible. Kids like us and we like kids!
At Center for Facial, Oral & Implant Surgery we provide services for children of all ages. During training, Dr. Hatzis received extensive training in Craniofacial Surgery, Pediatric Medicine and complex Maxillofacial injuries ranging from dog bites to motor vehicle collisions. Dr. Hatzis’ training included several rotations at Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas. In addition, he has both had extensive experience sedating children for the treatment of minor out-patient procedures and complex emergency room procedures.
Some treatments provided to children include:
Oral Surgery - Extraction of teeth, including wisdom teeth, and biopsy of facial & oral lesions
Pre-Orthodontic Surgery - Exposure and bonding of un-erupted permanent (adult) teeth
Infection Management - Treatment of facial and oral infections
Functional Surgery - Cleft Lip and Palate Repair
Trauma Surgery - Facial Fracture Repair, and Laceration Repair
Cosmetic Surgery - Ear Pinning, Removal of facial/body nevi (moles) and birthmarks (port wine stains)
Acne Treatment - Management of severe active acne and treatment of acne scarring
